Discovery Elementary School

Students will learn basic hand-sewing skills, including threading a needle, tying knots, and using a variety of hand stitches. Students will use felt and fabric to design and create individual and collaborative sewing projects while developing creativity, fine-motor skills, patience, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Students will also learn basic sewing safety, how to follow simple patterns and instructions, and may be introduced to basic sewing skills. Throughout the club, students will practice teamwork by sharing materials, helping peers, and working together on group sewing projects.
